I Am Making A Decision To Get Started Right Now
“A ‘right’ decision at the wrong time is always a
wrong decision.”
There are some people in the world who prefer to gather ALL the information first and wait for the BEST TIMING,
before they start their business.
They wait until they know everything about the industry, research everything about their products, and write a mission
statement or business plan that looks like a work of art. Then they pray to for a sign for the right time to come along.
They wait until the situation is perfect before they take action fearing the unknown and that they will fail if they were to
start prematurely.
But when too much time is spent on getting everything ready those activities becomes counter-productive and very detrimental
to starting your business. If there’s one certainty in life it’s that we will make mistakes, but often those mistakes turn out to be
a blessing in disguise because we learn from them.
Making mistakes and learning from them is a lot like contracting a virus and getting well again. When we contract a virus,
we develop antibodies that make us able to fight off the same virus in the future. Mistakes are what help us to learn where we have gone wrong
and refine our decision making abilities so that we can avoid making the same mistakes in the future.
If you don’t make mistakes, you will never learn. When you don’t learn, there is no growth of knowledge and no improvement.
Lack of knowledge makes you ignorant which in turn generates more inaction and amplifies your fear which causes the inability to make decisions.
It is a vicious cycle.
So once you have done enough research and your intuition gives you the go ahead, it is time to put your plan in action and
make the decision to get started immediately. Don’t wait any longer.
Lesson: Don’t suffer from the “paralysis of analysis” but persistently
