I Will Listen More, Talk Less
“If God wanted us to talk more and listen less, he would have created us with two
mouths and one ear instead of the opposite.”
It is important is to be a good listener. It allows you to learn more. When you listen to others first, you will
be able to communicate with them better when it is your turn to speak. You’ll be able to get straight to the point and get problems solved
quickly.
When you listen to your customer, they feel as though you empathize with their needs and hence they will respect
you more (put service first).
When you listen to your outsourced workers or employees, you can pick up ideas that will help you get more
customers or run your business more efficiently. They might even feel as if they have a place in the company and become more productive
because you value their opinions.
Lesson: It always pays to listen first. If you act without listening you ay miss an important opportunnity that
was right in front of you.
