I Will Not Quit
“I will never, never, never, never, never, ever
quit!”
We are all familiar with this one. However, this is one of the most difficult because when problems come the mind will find
all sorts of excuses to justify quitting.
I will just name two examples of people who made their dreams come true because they didn’t quit.
The first is Colonel Sanders:
This man was dead broke and way beyond employment age. But he approached restaurant after restaurant in an attempt to sell
the recipe for his fried chicken. Owner after owner rejected his offer, but because he didn’t give up he finally sold his recipe and we have the
world famous Kentucky Fried Chicken today.
The second example is Sylvester Stallone:
His script for Rocky was rejected by most of the people he approached. But in the end, the Rocky saga ran for a total of
6 MOVIES. A feat rarely achieved by many. Stallone eventually went on to become one of the most famous action film stars of all
time.
Now you might probably be thinking, “I’m not in the same class as Colonel Sanders or Sylvester Stallone when it comes to
business.” But these men were considered dead beats and failures by most of society before they had any success. They probably had even fewer
opportunities than you and I have today and they still succeeded because they never quit.
It is easy to quit when you don’t see results right away yet those are the times that you must go on. However, I would like
to highlight one very important thing. Although you must never quit you must also work smart. If you do not work smart it’s like trying to dig a
big hole using a spoon. However persistent you are you will only destroy your business due to inefficiency.
Lesson: If you quit, make sure you quit out of strength, and not out weakness.
